In today’s post, we offer the third step:

Step 3: What’s left should be put into “zones.”

Once you’ve gone through most of the things in your garage and gotten rid of a lot of things you don’t need, it’s time to look at what’s left and figure out where everything will go. By putting things in groups that make sense (like gardening, sports, holidays, and tools), it will be much easier to find what you need. Sort the things you still have left into groups that make sense to you, and stack them neatly.
